The original oil on canvas is scanned by the Athenæum of Philadelphia on a sophisticated high-resolution digital scanner with a raking light to capture surface details.  Printed on high quality stock, the front and back are glossy and the inside is matte, which enables smear-free, easy writing.  These vibrant note cards are blank inside and are boxed in sets of ten with envelopes.  All cards are 4¼” x 5¾”.

Gallery wrapped:  Unless noted, all paintings are gallery wrapped.  The canvas wraps around the sides of the wooden stretcher bars and is secured to the back with staples.  No staples are visible and the sides are unpainted.

Gallery wrapped with painted edges (as indicated):  Some paintings are gallery wrapped with painted sides  This means that the artist has continued the image around the sides of the canvas on the wooden stretcher bars, which allows either a frameless or framed presentation.

Canvas panel (as indicated):  These works are painted on canvas wrapped around a sturdy 1/8" thick acid free core.

A giclée print is an elevation in printmaking technology on stretched canvas.  The original oil on canvas artwork is first scanned by the Athenæum of Philadelphia on a sophisticated high-resolution digital scanner with a raking light to capture surface details.  The giclée is then printed using a professional eleven-color ink jet printer with archival-quality inks onto high quality cotton canvas.  This printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.  The canvas giclée is then stretched on 1" or ¾" stretcher bars.  An historical and architectural description (written by John) is affixed to the back and the giclée is enclosed in a protective acid-free clear bag.
