Bartram's Bridge, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania Giclée (paper)

This picturesque bridge spans the county line between Delaware and Chester Counties over Crum Creek in suburban Philadelphia. It is the last covered bridge remaining in Delaware County, which once had over thirty covered bridges.

A giclée print is an elevation in printmaking technology on archival paper.  The original oil on canvas artwork is first scanned by the Athenæum of Philadelphia on a sophisticated high-resolution digital scanner with a raking light to capture surface details.  The giclée is then printed using a professional eleven-color ink jet printer with archival-quality inks onto acid-free Innova soft textured fine art paper.  This printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.  The archival paper giclée is then placed in a 100% cotton museum-quality mat.  An historical and architectural description (written by John) is affixed to the back and the giclée is enclosed in a protective acid-free clear bag.
